Who I Am

I’m a student of time, identity, and the soul.

To say who I am is to invite a certain relationship to time. It gathers the details of my life into a story. That story becomes an identity.

For more than twenty years, I’ve explored how language shapes our lives—as a scholar of literature and language, as a lawyer and litigator, and as an author of spiritual wisdom. My credentials include a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, a PhD in Spanish from Emory University, and a JD from NYU School of Law.

My life has been a series of leaps of faith into the unknown. They were born from a profound faith that somehow I was being guided and carried all at once. They also felt necessary to staying alive, to feeling aligned with a deeper truth. I know what it means to evolve and change one’s life in radical ways.

If you’re looking for an easy label to describe me, there isn’t one. I’ve spent my life moving between worlds—law and academia, mindfulness and mysticism—that often regard each other with suspicion. Along the way, I realized that I live in the intersection between those worlds.

My story also includes direct encounters with the infinite and experiences in higher consciousness, including psychic perception. I don’t conceal these experiences; they are authentic and fundamental to who I am and what I teach. You also don’t need to understand them the way I do to find value in the theoretical framework they’ve helped me build.

Words that I have worn before, sometimes uncomfortably, include psychic channel, intuitive guide, and spiritual author. If a title still feels necessary, you can consider me a teacher, a writer, and a spiritual philosopher. I personally consider myself a student of the soul and an explorer of what’s possible for a human consciousness to experience.
